Goodbye for Now

Chris and I have traveled all over. We've lived in several places, including overseas, and there are many towns that we love...but none as special as Prescott, Arizona. Not only is it a beautiful and charming place, it is filled with great memories and so many wonderful friends.

Over the past 9 years here we have worked, started our family, admired Thumb Butte, made life-long friends, said goodbye to our great danes, chosen schools, and played a part in so many kids' lives at camp. As we head out on the road with an unknown future, we don't know if Prescott will be a part of our next chapter or not. It's possible that we will find jobs here and stay in the area, but it's far more likely that we will move on. We do know for certain, however, that we will be back at the end of summer, whether it's to pack up and say our final goodbyes, or to stay.

In the meantime, we will miss our Prescott friends tremendously! I found these super cute cork boards at Target and hung them up on the wall in the camper, right beside the girls' bed. Then I surprised them today by putting up pictures of them with their friends. I love how they turned out!

We've got Harper and her friends on the left...

Kinley and friends on the right...

And both girls with some of their closest friends in the middle...

This doesn't capture everyone of course, but I'm hoping it's enough to ease the homesickness that is sure to come on the road.

Most of all, we will miss my mom, a.k.a. Nana. But her pictures will go in the kitchen, for all of us to see! If any of you in the area wouldn't mind checking in on her from time to time, I would sure appreciate it!

To all our Prescott friends, we love you!! We consider ourselves some of the luckiest people in the world to have friends like you. See you in two months!
